In particular, Ematics is a Partner within the Schneider Integration Alliance, for the application of Schneider Industrial Automation products i.e. PLCs, HMIs, industrial communications. Ematics are also participating in the Schneider Energy Efficiency Partner programme

Ematics Scope

We can provide systems comprising the monitoring switchgear conventional digital and analogue I/O through to systems comprising the latest in intelligent power meters and intelligent relays. We offer a complete solution encompassing the necessary communications network infrastructure, data gatherers and gateways, Programmable Logic Controllers and graphics monitoring systems using proven industry standard SCADA packages and web enabled systems. In response to market demands, we increasingly provide remote monitoring facilities and reporting of alarm conditions via SMS Text and e-mail. We tailor systems to meet clients needs in terms of functionality, reliability and maximum availability, using redundant architectures for more critical applications.

Recent relevant projects completed by Ematics include:

Unilever European IT

Provision of PLC and SCADA based monitoring and control systems for 2 Data Centres. The systems utilise Schneider PLCs and distributed I/O and Schneider Monitor Pro SCADA System. The systems monitor the electrical distribution system at each site, including Incomers, Standby Generators, Critical Switchboards, Transformers, UPS Room, Battery Room. The systems also monitor critical cooling systems, fan units and chillers. The Master PLC interfaces to a number of Schneider PM700/ PM800 Power Meters and OEM Interfaces within the Electrical Equipment using Modbus protocol and serial to Ethernet converters.

Blackwall and Rotherhithe Tunnel

Provision of PLC and SCADA based systems to Rotherhithe Tunnel to control and monitor essential services within the Blackwall and Rotherhithe tunnels including Electrical Distribution Monitoring (mains incomers, bus couplers, UPS, Batteries, distribution boards), lighting control, ventilation control, fire and security systems. The systems comprise dual redundant Schneider Quantum PLCs and dual redundant Schneider Vijeo Citect SCADA systems at separate locations linked via fibre optic ring network.
